Everything began in 2017, my little brother didn’t stop to talk to me about these cryptocurrencies. At this time, me and my father were not all eyes and ears when my brother explains why cryptocurrencies are going to skyrocket and to disrupt the traditional finance. He came especially to conferences he couldn’t miss for nothing in the world. At this time, he was only 17 years old yet during all these years he was rigorous and willing to invest in these virtual currencies every month.
But, I stayed on my positions, I was little bit skeptical maybe because I had never tried the blockchain technology. Also, my studies take me so much time that I couldn’t make my research. Indeed, I couldn’t understand the concept because I thought cryptocurrencies were only coins or tokens with a value. However, when you delve the subject, you discover why it is been created and that it brings in terms of innovations.
In addition, he had worked for two young start-ups for which their projects were unsuccessful. Unfortunately, these companies didn’t scale up but thanks to these experiences, he met great minds who become close friends to him. I haven’t looked into the problems of these companies encountered, but I can understand the complexity of building a business project.
Wanting to create a media, I faced several dilemmas that have tormented me to this day. Indeed, once you have set a strategy, it is enough to execute it. However, the problems encountered mean that we have to change our plan by accepting it. In my opinion as an entrepreneur or as a person, this act is the most difficult thing to do.
It can be explained by the fear of making errors. When we make a plan, we imagine the future believing that each of our predictions will come true. Therefore a questioning is imposed, “Did I see my project with too many ambitions ? “,” Did I underestimate the difficulty ? “. These experiences of my little brother only made me doubt his faith in this emerging new world.
Come after this famous Bull Run of 2017, during this event this subject often came up in our discussions. Thus, he could rely on this powerful rise in the value of Bitcoin to transmit his messages. As you can imagine it wasn’t long before the fall made its appearance. It is interesting if we draw a parallel with today in the middle or end of Bull Run 2020, to see how the craze of people around crypto-assets takes and then deflates like a balloon following the sharp drop in Bitcoin in mid-May.
It was the same for me after the advent of the Bear Market in 2017. Indeed, I saw this famous Bitcoin as a simple means of making profits. So I left the ship for a while until time. Without counting on my little brother’s desire to give these chips a chance. I bought in December 2019 and January 2020 cryptocurrencies especially Bitcoin, Ethereum and others that my little brother shill to me like Kava.
Then I regain my habits because I felt not ready to enter in this world. I saw my little brother staying long hours on his computer, chatting with his « crypto-friends » on Telegram & Discord. I found this not pleasing to watch but as decentralised technology, the information is also decentralised. So everybody has the possibility to explain their thoughts on what’s going on in the market.
It is when I came back from Barcelona, where I did an internship of three months at Papernest, a French Start-Up, that I get used to follow the crypto market. Then the Bull Run makes its apparition, it took me and I was plunged in graphs, announcements and news. Everyday with my brother, we spent hours to find the new tendances, DeFi protocols, NFT’s, BSC DApps, Crosschain and Sidechains projects.
Since I got involved in this world, I joined a community Solana France as a helper. By learning people how to use decentralised protocols built on the blockchain Solana. I make this step to become more familiar with this ecosystem and to become aware of new DApps in there.
I decided from now on make analysis of a decentralised protocole once a week to spread all I pretend to know well.
