According to global crypto-centric asset manager Hashdex, its Web3 exchange-traded fund (ETF) will launch on Brazil’s main stock exchange B3. According to a report by Cointelegraph Brazil, the new ETF will present a secure and diversified way for investors to invest in Web3 and smart contracts.

Weighing in on Web3’s potential, Hashdex co-founder and CEO Marcelo Sampaio had glowing terms. According to him, Web3 is the future of the internet space and further represents the potential of blockchain technology. Sampaio also stated that:

“The WEB311 ETF not only provides exposure to the smart contract platforms underpinning Web3, but serves as an accessible and unique way to invest in projects that will be the main engine of the internet of the future.”

Hashdex’s new ETF reserve period began on Monday, March 14th, and will last 11 days until March 25th. The announcement also revealed the participatory input of CF Benchmarks, one of the world’s major providers of digital asset market indexes.

Hashdex operates as a fund manager that issues licensed investment funds for digital currencies. Back in April 2021, the platform launched its first crypto-focused ETF HASH11. Hashdex also offers exposure to a Nasdaq-weighted BTC/Nasdaq Crypto Index fund, as well as a Bitcoin Risk Parity Gold Fund.
