It's less than 10 hours before we slide into 2022 in this part of the world, at the moment of writing this post, and yes, instead of making any preparations for new years eve, I'm actually blogging. What lunatic does that?... A crypto fanatic for sure.
2021 is probably the year of disappointment for most of the analysts and traders, as it hasn't quite really walked the path they paved for the crypto market, but that's not my case. Although I had no doubt BTC will reach $100,000 this year, it seems that I was mistaken.
BTC hasn't reached $100k, or $288k, or whatever the gurus were expecting, but it's fine. Bitcoin is doing exactly what's supposed to do, becoming a store of value, but not falling into the patterns some have framed for it.
I am content with 2021, from a financial perspective. Although I haven't sold anything from my long term holdings I still managed to live off of crypto... My activity as a content creator has covered most of my spending and that's what I call "the crypto life".
Hive has played an essential role in making that happen and I'm more than grateful about everything I experienced on this blockchain. I am also more than excited about the future in crypto and particularly Hive.
As mentioned for quite a few times on my blog, I have left aside the four years cycles pattern I was believing in for a few years and instead embraced uncertainty and unlimited potential development for blockchain. It's pointless to review the events that made crypto great this year, as I suppose most of you are already aware of them by now.
I haven't missed one day from creating crypto related content in 2021 and that's quite an achievement for me. Other than that I'm quite happy with my finances and the way 2021 "has treated me" and more than excited for 2021. I don't know if the pandemic will ever be over, unless humanity wakes up en mass, but at least I learned how to circumvent it.
Long story short, 2021 hasn't nailed any of my predictions, but I'm fine with that. It proved to be an awesome year and I can't wait for 2022. Hope you've had a great year and wish you all the best in the next one.
