It's not often that crypto search terms come close to their peaks. But during this bull market Ethereum is doing just that.
More people are searching for Ethereum now that ever before. Google Trends show that the number of Google searches for Ethereum are reaching an all-time high, overshadowing search interest during the peak of the last ETH bull run.
The previous peak in terms of popularity spiked on Jan. 13, 2018 when ETH hit the all-time high of $1,432.88 USD
Considered a folk metric among analysts, a spike in Google Analytics interest score for a cryptocurrency is related with a positive sentiment for that particular project.
It's no surprise that search interest for Ether would rise as it's run up to a new ATH grows closer. Bitcoin searches however remain at about 65% of it's peak popularity which happened on Dec 23, 2017.
But despite the jump in ETH searches, searches for Bitcoin are still outnumbering them 5:1. This could however lead to an ever increasing bull run as the crypto search terms become more and more popular. @ImineBlocks_Com says on Twitter that "We could see the Ethereum price hit a new ATH between the 10th - 16th of January.
