Five Hundred & Growing, Grateful!

Thank you +500 followers! While we often do things for ourselves, there's the WIIFM (What's In It For Me), & "what can I gain from this?", I like to ask a different question. It is all about purpose --> Five Hundred & Growing, Grateful!

Where Can I ADD Value?

The biggest question I ask myself that has changed over the last two years has dramatically shifted.  Instead of:

  • How can I excel and go further, faster to achieve more?

Now I ask myself:

  • Why am I doing ___________?

It may seem like a small shift or even insignificant, yet it has completely reshaped my days.  The pushing the boulder up the hill image in my head, now I have the boulder pulling me up the hill while I am pushing.

How Can That Shift Occur?

One may wonder how you can pull it off.  What is the strategy, or tactic, practice, meditation, journaling or tool that is being used?

Ultimately this comes down to less than a 60 second drill.  I just decided.

Now the lead up to the decision may take longer.  Heck it may even take years for some, but the act of deciding that you are changing what you do, how you think, the questions you ask... all comes down to a sub-minute thought --> "I Decide To _________!

Let's Get Back to the WHY

Fortunately, this small tool with major implications is applicable in anything you do.  All you have to do is DECIDE.

Want to change your digital asset allocation?  Decide

Need to understand what is your best option when there's a clear wedge or head and shoulders? Decide

Thinking about WHY you are doing anything?Decide

This thinking is not an over simplification of what all of us go through day in and day out.  Rather, it is a tool to help align your internal compass.  It is a tool to anchor you to a solid piece of bedrock to build your foundation.

It is all there waiting for you to Decide .

MY WHY  has been the same all along, but I never understood well enough to articulate it.  My why for writing articles like this is the same as when I played basketball in college, or I worked on a fire crew in the western part of the country.

Supporting others, and feeling the success they achieve while I'm helping out in some way.  Whether it is teaching how to practice shooting free throws with your eyes closed or running a chainsaw, those are the times when I'm most fulfilled.

I see blockchain as a key tenet in the future or how we operate, integrate, interact and behave.  Any bit that I can do to help, support, teach, grow and learn as well, will be fulfilling in the discovery or progress.

Again, I am humbled and grateful for the +500 followers on Publish0x, THANK YOU!
