I'm in! I'm finally in... My first ever coins purchased, but let me tell you it hasn't been easy. The difficulties have mounted up and I have spent about 12-15 hours on troubleshooting the system. I'm not talking about a specific site or app. I'm talking about jumping the great (fire)wall. If I hadn't had the support of my friend and mentor Uche Ejiogu. I would have tossed this laptop into the Ningbo river. China is an amazing place I must say, but regulatory bodies are increasingly aware that money is leaving and being hidden elsewhere.
My first obstacle was getting someone to purchase what I wanted, and I did. The problem is that this person, is an amazing friend who is complete sceptic and non risk taker. I knew what I wanted to buy, but he convinced me to do something else. Since I'm new to the game I figured I would just follow some very conservative advice. Low and behold this set me into an abyss of curse words and sleepless nights. I wasn't stressed. I just didn't know how to do anything. I first started off by handing a wad of cash to my friend while we stood outside a McDonald's at a busy mall at lunch. He wasn't feeling it.

I will explain why I needed to get a third party to make the purchase and end this first blog a such. I have an account with a reputable Chinese trading site/wallet . The issue is that it's linked to my Canadian passport. Because of this, the site was blocking any and all purchases with a notice stating: "According to the regulations of your registration place, you can only trade the fiat money of this region." I had to google that sentence. It didn't help. I don't have a Canadian account anymore because I've been here in China so long, therefor that option was off the table. Insert curse words and a massive migraine.
