Do you apply the spirit of kintsugi in your crypto journey?

Have you heard of wabi-sabi before? It is a Japanese term that calls upon us to appreciate the beauty of something with all its quirks and changes with age. It is the Japanese philosophy of embracing imperfections and flaws.

But wait. It gets better. The Japanese has an art form called kintsugi, which is repairing broken, chipped or cracked ceramic pieces with lacquer and gold. When traditional craftsmen apply lacquer and gold, they don’t hide away the cracks and chips. In fact, the gold draws attention to these blemishes and accentuates their flawed beauty.

Now, your crypto portfolio may carry certain scars and bruises. You might have made some mistakes and over-extended ourselves by investing in coins or NFTs that were once promising but now seem to be languishing away. Or bought BTC and ETH near their ATH. Obviously we cannot leverage kintsugi on our portfolio but we could nonetheless accept and even celebrate our imperfections. After all, to err is human.

Are there failed coins and tokens that you still keep because you want a visual reminder of your mistakes? Are you perhaps even grateful for making these mistakes because they turn you into a more patient and rational investor?
