Soccer legends Alessandro Del Piero and Christian Vieri of Italy and Gabriel Batistuta of Argentina are launching their NFT collections. The digital assets of these three soccer greats will launch on the BINANCE NFT marketplace, according to CryptoPotato.
The collection will partly comprise a Mystery Box set which will be available through a partnership with blockchain-based football metaverse TopGoal. In addition, it will also license NFT game cards showcasing historical moments from each of the players’ storied careers. The collection will become available for purchase on November 15th, and each Mystery Box set will have one random NFT inside. Furthermore, these will be grouped into three classes, namely rare, epic and legendary. Del Piero, Vieri, and Batistuta will auction the NFT from the legendary quality.
Binance created the NFT hub earlier this year to meet the growing demand for non-fungible tokens. In that time, the specialized marketplace by the crypto exchange has thrived and now holds many digital collections. These include some from the soccer space, such as Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies.
The theme of the recent NFT collection revolves around the Italian Serie A domestic soccer championship. The three aforementioned icons all once plied their trade there at some point in their respective careers. For instance, Del Piero played for serial league winners Juventus, Vieri played at Lazio, and Batistuta is arguably Fiorentina’s most prolific striker.
