You have now successfully fended off the enemy’s attack with your Food Cryptoids, what comes next? Of course, you need to fight back! With the attack value that Food Cryptoids are bringing to the table, it would take them ages to take down their enemies. That is why we are introducing Animal Cryptoids, the Glass Cannon race, to you!

Introducing animal cryptoids

Different from Food Cryptoids, Animal Cryptoids is packed with devastating firepower in their arsenal. Animal Cryptoids’ abilities are mostly offensive, revolving around the critical chance increase, and the only race that could apply “Fata” debuff.

Base Stats Breakdown: Impeccable Skill and Luck with trivial HP

Animal Cryptoid has a base Skill and Luck of 41 and 43, giving Animal Cryptoids the stats it needed to explore both types of damaging build: Sustainable damage with Combo (Skill) or Burst damage with Critical chance (Luck).

With these levels of firepower, Animal Cryptoids are sure to be lacking in certain areas, which in this case are Speed and HP. Animal Cryptoids has a base speed of 35, which is decent at best compared to other Cryptoid races, but more importantly, Animal Cryptoids have a base HP of 31, which is the lowest among all the races.

With these base stats, it doesn’t take a lot of damage to knock down your Animal Cryptoids. Therefore, it is wise to put your Animal Cryptoids out of harm’s way, and have a tank to soak up all the damage while letting your Animal Cryptoids take on offence.

Parts Bonus Breakdown: Best Luck multiplier and worst HP

Animal Cryptoids have the best Luck multiplier among all the Cryptoid races, so having more Animal parts can always give you a great boost in critical chance. Even if your Cryptoid is not running a critical hit build, extra Luck is always a nice addition to your kit.

In addition to the massive Luck multiplier, Animal parts also give a decent Speed and Skill multiplier, but it is just mediocre at best. On top of that, Animal Cryptoid, along with Spirit Cryptoids, have the worst HP multiplier in the game. In other words, a pure Animal Cryptoid really lives up to its name, the Glass Cannon.

Animal Cryptoids Overview

Animal abilities revolve around damage and critical chance increase with relatively low utilities to offer its teammates.

Useful Ability: Horn

Speaking of Animal’s Horn ability, Violent Antelope is really hard to miss. 130 base Attack is already a good reason to add this ability to your rooster, as it is the highest base Attack ability in the game.

However, this ability’s true power lies in its amazing synergy with critical strike builds. Combining with Animal Cryptoids’ natural affinity to Luck and other good ability, this card will always be a heavy hitter.

If the sheer damage route isn’t your cup of tea, there are great Horn alternatives to choose from. For instance, Angry Conch is a good alternative if you want some extra critical chance.

The most intriguing part of Angry Conch is that its effect could be triggered by both Combo and Chain. It is much easier to trigger the 20% increase in critical chance. Combining with 125 base Attack, Angry Conch is easily one of the most deadly abilities everyone should watch out for.

Useful ability: Ear

One of the core abilities for critical strike lovers is an Animal Ear parts, Lucky Ears!

30 Shield, 0 Attack and 0 cost meaning you are always playing Lucky Ears for its effect, which is applying not one, but TWO Luck+ for two round. We will always want your Cryptoid to have Lucky Ears if you are going for a critical strike build.

Mermaid Fin is one of the most unique Ear parts as it is the only part that could apply “Lethal” in this game! When applying “Lethal”, you can guarantee the next attack to the target Cryptoid will be a critical hit. It is particularly helpful to provide some utility for your teammate even when your Animal Cryptoid had been knocked down.

Useful ability: Weapon

The Last Dance is an easy to use Animal Weapon that you can never go wrong with. Aside from its impressive 125 base Attack, it can always guarantee to land the hit when your Cryptoid is in Last Miracle.

It is worth detouring a bit to explain how Last Miracle works here: When entering Last Miracle, your Cryptoid will have only 1 HP left and any additional damage and/or any ability is activated will deduct 1 HP. Therefore, it is common that your Cryptoid could not land a hit during Last Miracle with slow Speed.

Now going back to The Last Dance, this is particularly important for slow Speed Cryptoids to have as it can guarantee you can land an extra hit with 125 base Attack in Last Miracle without considering Speed.

Useful ability: Tail

There are a couple of interesting options for Animal Tail parts to pick from, for instance, Cunning Tail is a great combo with Lucky Ears. Cunning Tail can provide 2 energy after you played Lucky Ears last turn to replenish energy for big attacks!

Aside from its effect, a 0 cost card is generally a good option for a quick Combo with just 2 energy, especially it could be provided by Cunning Tail itself.

Animal Cryptoids are the typical glass cannon with insane damage potential paired with high critical chance combos. However, slow Speed and limited hitpoints also make it very vulnerable to enemies’ snipping attacks, which is essential to keep in mind when you have an Animal Cryptoid in your team.
