What is Berlin Update?
A network upgrade is a change to the underlying Ethereum protocol, creating new rules to improve the system. A "Berlin" name is part of a new name-convention, when the naming of new network updates will be made after Devcon cities, Berlin being where the Devcon 1 happened.

As ETH node operator/miner, do I need to do anything?
To not be stuck with an incompatible blockchain, you need to update your Ethereum client to following versions:
