In this post, I've put together a list of upcoming crypto halving & forking countdowns.
This was inspired by some research I was doing towards understanding Bitcoin Halving, specifically why it happened on May 11, 2020 instead of May 12, 2020.
Crypto Halving is done for multiple reason, and it's complex. There are many factors and results to consider.
- First, The Network Difficulty goes up.
- Second, Miners get paid less in rewards (while doing more work).
- Third, the issuance and inflation rate of coins like BTC will drop more and more.
