In my last post I talked about the difficulty of choosing which currency to invest in and that a valid help that goes beyond the market trend is the solidity of the project on which a currency is based.

In today's post I want to talk about another equally valid project, that of BitTorrent, one of the most powerful peer-to-peer file sharing protocol in the world that in 2019 launched its cryptocurrency "BitTorrent Token (BTT)".
Clearly since what was bought by TRON through the Atlas Project in 2018, the fortunes of BitTorrent have changed considerably as the connection of the peer-to-peer BitTorrent network to the TRON blockchain has led BTT to reach and become known by 100 million users.
The potential of BitTorrent lies in the fact that its protocol can be used to share and exchange any type of file.
To date, BitTorrent makes up 33% of total Internet traffic.
Thanks to the integration of the TRON network, the Torrent ecosystem has increased storage capacity and bandwidth, increasing the availability of torrent files.
Another potential of BitTorrent was the launch of the SPEED program in 2019, a sort of a reward system of credits in a modern key to encourage users to share.
Then downloaders have the option to provide BTT tokens to uploaders in exchange for faster download speeds.
An incentive to earn BTT tokens, which will give uploaders more incentive to seed files for longer and to dedicate more bandwidth and storage to other torrent clients on the network.
Even if initially the combination between the free BitTorrent protocol and the cryptocurrency intended as a payment rather than an incentive for uploaders, was not well received.
But for those who already knew the world of cryptocurrencies it was not difficult to get used to the idea of a token to buy bandwidth to increase the download speed and receive tokens in payment for giving up the space.

Could BTT be a good long-term investment?
Given the current prices and the possibility of being carried away by the bull run phase of the market, 2021 could be the right time to hit its all time high again.
According to Coinpidia BTT will have incredible opportunities in the near future, its very large user base could arouse the interest of Netflix and Amazon Prime but also Spotify. Then yes, the currency could jump to $ 0.0080 by the end of 2021.
