CoinMarketCap, a leading cryptocurrency data provider, announced this week that it has formed a strategic partnership with Yahoo Finance to provide the website with crypto data and content.

According to the announcement, CoinMarketCap is now providing information on pricing, market capitalization and other relevant metrics. Additionally, CMC will be bringing its market indices to Yahoo, after previously partnering with NASDAQ, Bloomberg and Thomson Reuters.

“We are thrilled about this partnership which comes timely as we continue to level up our game with the new liquidity-based metrics for ranking market-pairs and an improved pricing algorithm coming soon,” stated the CoinMarketCap team in the announcement. “Yahoo Finance is one of the most respected and widely-adopted finance sites in the world. Through this partnership, we seek to make cryptocurrencies more accessible and drive wider adoption.”

CoinMarketCap’s various content streams are now also incorporated into the new cryptocurrency screener platform on Yahoo Finance.

This news comes as one of CoinMarketCap’s main competitors, Messari, closed a $4 million fundraising round from Uncork Capital with participation from COINBASE Ventures.
