Cardano (ADA) is a so called third generation crypto, which currently is on the rise. Just like with every other coin, it's value increased heavily in the past months. For every big question in the field currently, they have a solution planned. The best thing about Cardano, is that the project is reviewed by the academic system, meaning that everything they do is approved by the community of experts. With its current market cap being the 1/7th of etherium, I think it is safe to say that cardano has room for growth. Staking - you can easily stake your coins on a number of software wallets approved by the cardano team, for example yoroi, and earn around 5% apy, payed out every 5 days in ADA. 5% at first glance does not seem like an amazing offer, but this is where the room for growth comes into play. With exactly how much % the price of ADA goes up, your apy goes up too. Meaning if you buy 100 ADA right now for exactly 1 usd - in one year you will have 105 ADA. Let's say that during this year it's price went up to 2 usd. Your worth in ADA went from 100 usd to 210 usd. So by staking 100 usd you now made 10 usd (10 being 10% of your initial 100) on top of the price doubling. This obviously works the same way everywhere where you get the apy from staking payed out in coins.
It is however important to stay objective. Regarding crypto, I always recommend the same rule which goes for reading any news. Find 3 different sources for every essential piece of information. In case there is a big difference between the articles - you have to make your own research and come to your own conclusion.
To sum it up, depending on how bullish you are on ADA it might just be an amazing opportunity. Its better to get a lower apy from a coin which you believe in, than getting a higher apy from a coin you think will likely crash. In my personal opinion, a 3 usd price by the end of the year is not out of the question.
