Would you believe I had already forgotten that I had some Dogecoin in my Doge wallet until I heard someone quoting its price? I had even forgotten the password of Dogecoin wallet, but I managed it from password management and was astounded to see that my wallet had almost 8000 Dogecoins in my account @6 cents.
Actually, I had accumulated this amount working on a GPT site Cointyply working for three to four months by spending about 1-2 hours a day two years ago. First, I thought that was a glitch, but then I checked it on various sources and found it was a reality.
I immediately tried to find out why and how Doge got so popular since they developed this coin for tipping purposes as a joke. I concluded it has become increasingly popular after a tweet by the electric car company Tesla’s founder Elon Musk on cryptocurrency Dodge Coin.
So, a coin that was minted to tip or in a joking way in the year 2013 now stands at a total value of $10 billion. See where a joke can do in the crypto world! They say at present, only one investor holds 28% of all Dodge Coin in the world and he is none other than Elon Musk.
I am not sure how true is that, but if we believe the experts, he has 28% of total Dogecoin in his possession or maybe even more. So we know the value of total Dodge Coin if stands at $10 Billion, then if Elon has $2.1 billion worth according to reports by the various sources, it should not surprise us.
All said and done but the person or that organization which is yet to be identified though, but they hold 28% of all Doge Coins is absolutely trustworthy if we associate Musk with this news. And that’s why its popularity is skyrocketing.
If I remember right this was a day in February this year when someone said do you know my account is showing Dogecoin worth $2700. Incidentally, he had spent only $22, a leftover amount in his account after he bought several other coins. He casually bought Dogecoin in 2017.
Now a number of celebrities have invested in Doge, so its popularity has increased considerably. As we all know, it has touched an all-time high on February 9, 2021, the day I heard the news and gave it serious consideration after checking my Doge account.
So my thanks to Tesla CEO Elon Musk and few other celebrities that made it popular by tweeting and taking an interest in this coin. Now I know that Musk has tweeted several times about Dodge Coin. He believes Dodge Coin is going to be the Bitcoin of the future. Sounds funny, but you never know. After all, who believed that Bitcoin will touch $61000 back in 2010.
Come on Elon Musk do something for my favorite coin 1UP something or if nothing else take it out of Ethereum Blockchain to some other chain so we trade this coin easily without worrying much about the gas fee.
