Honduras may be the next country to adopt Bitcoin as legal tender - a move that would rock the legacy establishment. Bitcoin-bull Max Keiser initially floated rumors of this happening in a tweet posted last Friday. It read "It's happening..," The National Football League, in a memo issued Tuesday, granted teams limited permission to seek blockchain sponsorships, a partial reversal from late last summer, as the technology grows in popularity among the organization's fans and athletes. The league said it made the decision to allow "promotional relationships without undertaking excessive regulator or brand risk" after it completed an evaluation of the technology. Looking good. That's what the iris-scanning crypto project Worldcoin is likely saying after a report that it's in the midst of an eye-popping $100 raise which will see its valuation go to $3 billion. According to a report in The Information , which cites anonymous sources, the round includes funding from venture capital firms Andreessen Horowitz and Khosla Ventures. FIFA, an international governing body for many major soccer tournaments, has announced that cryptocurrency exchange CRYPTO.COM will be an official sponsor of its next World Cup in Qatar. In a Wednesday announcement, the association said Crypto.com's branding will appear both inside and outside of stadiums for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 scheduled to begin in November.
