I've seen two main strategies in the game.
1-Open packs and sell the individual cards
2-Do not open packs and buy unique cards
I follow the #2 strategy.

2-Find a sustainable way to increase your skill & fans
You need to unlock the second island because it has the highest rewards in Starbits. I also opened the third island, but I don't play missions because it requires Petrol Cans, and honestly, they are too expensive.
??SHOPPING GUIDE FOR STRATEGY #2 ??
1- Energy boost ??. You will need one pizza box minimum, and I advise one pizza slice. The pizza slice recharges every 24h and the pizza box storages the pizza that you earn doing short missions.
2-If possible, buy an XP boost ??. It will skyrocket your XP gaining and allow you to reach the 75 levels. This level will enable you to finish all missions on the 2nd island and the music lessons. If possible, a 100XPBOOST. You can sell it when you reach your desired level.
3-Instruments of the same type ????. Pay attention: you can fall in a continuous spiral buying skill cards, and you will never reach the skill you need to control your ego. So, my advice, get all the instruments you can to specialize in one music lesson.
YES. The more luck you gather, the more skill you will earn in the music lessons. I have more than 2000 luck for the guitar lesson, and I get many skill points.
4-Get FANS??????. The more fans, the more STARBITS you can earn. Simple. Your ego will rise, but you can make your music lessons to get more and more skill. The best choices are vehicles? Yes, but always calculate the price/fans ratio and buy whatever has the best balance.
Consider that some cards are more valuable because they are limited, so don't be a collector; just get the fans.
