I love BRAVE Browser. Not only does it block ads but also pays in BAT as you use the browser to surf the web.
However, it is not good for downloading files especially mining files. It will block you from downloading it and force you to discard it.
Therefore I use Microsoft edge to download these files. It allows all files to download without restrictions.
I like Brave browser is easy to use, can install extensions and I mainly use it these few months on my pc and mobile phone.
The Brave browser on PC can setup Uphold wallet immediately and Brave will send your BAT tokens immediately into your Uphold wallet.
However, you have to wait until you have 25 BAT for Brave Browser on mobile phones.
Brave is usually fast and does not eat into my PC space.
However, recently I noticed something changed. My GPU program showed that Brave is running on my GPU.
I'm rather surprised. Did Brave now secretly tap on my GPU? Like all miners do, they use my GPU to mine their own cryptocurrency?
Recent changes has also made Brave browser a bit lagging. They are using my GPU for sure, my NVIDIA GPU activity shows it. Even now as I am typing using Brave browser to surf Publish0x, it shows intruder Brave.
I am doing Folding on my PC therefore I always track my GPU activity and it does not show Brave utilising my GPU until these few days.
Something has been done to Brave to tap onto user's GPU!
There are two solutions :
1) Either uninstall Brave and find other ways to earn BAT
2) Continue to allow Brave to tap onto your GPU to earn BAT.
I also recently realised Brave has lesser ads now as compared to previously.
I wonder is it only me or it is across all users?
5 ads per hour but I don't see anymore ads...
