I realized that the majority of the posts in the Bityard blog are about derivatives and contract trading but spot trading wasn't covered. This post was created with the purpose to cover all aspects of spot trading on the platform.

Spot and Contract Trading

Stop trading is not the only available market on the exchange. Contract trading for cryptocurrency and derivatives allow the investors to forecast on the price of assets, involving leverage.

Spot trading is the trading that allow investors to buy and sell cryptocurrencies directly with other investors. The transactions will settled instantly if the demand is matched by an existing offer. The coins and tokens from the exchange account can be used or new ones can be bought. If the demand is matched by an offer, the trading engine will automatically settle the trade. All transactions are done in a paring with Tether (USDT).

By selecting "Optional", the trader can customize his crypto list. Selecting "All" will show all the available coins and tokens, while selecting "DeFi" will show only the decentralized finance assets. The "POS" will show only cryptocurrencies with Proof-of-stake and the "Gray" tab will show the hot trades.

How to buy/sell

The below scenario will use 1inch,a DEX aggregator with the best prices on the market, as an example. To buy 1inch, in green, the trader must select the desired amount and click the "Buy" button. To sell, in red, the trader must select the amount of 1INCH he/she wants to sell and click the "Sell" button. Both the selling and buying amount can be customized from the percentage line, by clicking any amount between 0% and 100%.
