This is the question that has been around mine mind from the day doge reached the top 10 crypto. But starting with what decides a crypto project is better, it is people, we and we gets deviated by many things. There a lot of factors to consider which is better. I would just like to present my opinion on the matter and my research. And I might not be able to provide an answer because in some factors might bitcoin shine and in some dogecoin would have an upper hand.
Bitcoin -
- Leader of the crypto market in terms of market cap with 41,685 for one bitcoin at the time of writing. - PRO
- Has a finite supply of 26 million bitcoins currently mined at rate of 6.25 bitcoins.- PRO
- Negative Momentum - CON
- Large Follower Base - PRO
- Most Developed Ecosystem, Most Acceptance and Liquidity - PRO
- Electricity cost and Mining Hashrate is on the Rise. - CON
- Most of bitcoin is owned by large companies.- CON
Dogecoin -
- Ranked 6th in the terms of market cap at the time of writing.- PRO
- Worth about 45 cents per token at the time of writing
- Positive Momentum- PRO
- Circulating supply of 129.7 billion out of infinite supply.- CON
- Elon Musk - The Named Dogefather - This can be considered the biggest asset and also the biggest liability as we won't know what new tweet would be shooted up now. It is not his fault but His Name in my view along with his followers is the only reason why dogecoin has bloomed so much - PROCON
- Shibu Inu- Competitor Popularly known as Doge killer. Might End doge Reign.- CON
- Pump and Dump Can occur.- CON
The finite supply of bitcoin gives it an upper hand over doge as bitcoins value would increase with depression in usd and not would be the same case in doge.
Some of the factors were same for both so were not considered.
