Good evening. Over the last 24 hours, Bitcoin has gained 5% and has risen from about 41.7K to 43.9K USD/BTC. And, at 8:00 PM New York City time on Monday, February the 7'th, the Twitter account Bitcoin Fear and Greed Index @BitcoinFear posted an index score of 48. That is a jump of 3 points from 24 hours ago, and a jump of 8 points from the same time 48 hours ago. One week ago, the score was 26. Today, at 48, it's nearly doubled, and the index seems to have escaped levels of "extreme fear" and "fear" having moved to "neutral for the time being. When the index was posted tonight, the BTC price was $43,778 USD/BTC. One day ago when the index score of 45 was posted the price was $41,769 USD/BTC. One week ago when the index score of 26 was posted, the price was $38,435 USD/BTC. As I write, BTC is up over the last seven days ~ 14.41%
Below is a 1-month chart of the Fear and Greed Index values. On the horizontal x-axis is the date, to the left is 30 days prior, and on the right of the horizontal axis is the present date. On the vertical y-axis are the Fear and Greed Index values spanning those dates, with 0 (extreme fear) at the bottom, and 100 (extreme greed) at the top.
