This is a very new thing to Crypto, for the first time ever, an entire community of around 12,000 people will come together to discuss, show off and support other bitcoiners from all around the world. It's taking place in Florida, which seems to be the epicenter of the Crypto movement in the US right now with Miami mayor investing in BTC and ETH recently and a lot of other prominent political figures embracing cryptocurrencies. And in Miami is exactly where this event will be held, or should I say is being held as it is LIVE right now.
There will be quite a few prominent figures from both the crypto world and political as well, and I think I wouldn't be wrong if I said most of us don't care about the political ones, despite that they do have their uses as more politicians embracing it pretty much means more of the government doing the same... but who cares, onto the event.
I'll just briefly mention the politicians that will be appearing:
- Ron Paul - Former Congressman
- Cynthia Lummis - Senator
The investors:
- Michael Saylor - The biggest Bitcoin supporter
- Jack Dorsey - CEO of Twitter and Chairman of Square
- Tony Hawk - Famous Skateboarder
- Lyn Alden - Investment strategist
- Dan Held - Director of Kraken
- Peter McCormack - Bitcoin podcaster
Ok so a lot of people but why is it even important that this is happening? Well firstly it's the first time ever we have an event of this scope in Crypto, period and the influence of these speakers even if it seems miniscule to some is actually massive and people just tend to listen to famous people more than anyone else... They are rich for a reason some would say...
It's also important to see how all of these people partner and what their respective plans are for the future of BTC since they are obviously some of the biggest investors and lovers of BTC. Some of the talks they've already had for the event have made headlines everywhere and will continue to do so until it is finished...
A lot of people say it'll go beyond BTC and it will but not directly since all of the speakers and attendees have been instructed to keep their topics mostly BTC, at least when talking about the speakers parts and questions towards them, normal chatting is just fine on any topic obviously.
It is a historic event to be sure, maybe not as grandiose as some would think it to be since just because it's the first ever doesn't mean it's the most important but it is there nonetheless and it might change some peoples perspective on the first cryptocurrency.
