I never thought that I, as uncoordinated as I am, would ever be writing a helpful article about playing a game... But here we are!
Many folks have spend many hours trying to get high scores on the game BEATBOX at PIPEFLARE and just can't make headway. They are going about playing the game ALL WRONG!
Here is how those folks are getting those 3,000+ scores in the game!
1. YOU ARE PLAYING THE GAME ALL WRONG!
The game was originally written to score by clearing levels and getting bonuses for clearing a screen or really lucky tries. But the game has been rewritten to score based on how many FLARE tokens you get.
You can ignore the flashes and popups that say LUCKY BONUS +200, and Screen Clearing Bonuses too. They do not add to the real scoring any longer...
The ONLY things you get a ONE point for each FLARE TOKEN you collect. The Squares with the FLR image in them. The rest of the squares are just in the way and need to be cleared out.
2. SAVE THE ROCKETS!
Don't use the rockets to clear a line as soon as you get one. SAVE IT!
Wait until you get to the line right before you die, then use the rocket on the line with the Most FLR tokens in it. Also try to get as many balls as you can to make the most out of it.
Remember, only the FLR blocks count!
3, REMEMBER YOUR DAILY FREE SPINS!
Every 24 hours you get a FREE SPIN that can earn you FLR Tokens or Lives. The Tokens do NOT add to your Leader Board Score, but they do help you get a larger chunk of Air Drops!
The lives are about worthless... To use them you have to be at the start of the game. So when you do need them they are there for a restart. More on that in a bit.
4. NEVER USE FLR TOKENS FOR LIVES!
NEVER use FLR Tokens to get lives! Just watch the 7 seconds ad and grab that free life!
5. TAKE YOUR TIME!
Notice that count down timer in the upper left hand? Every 10 minutes you get a free life. Play a round, get up stretch your legs, bathroom break, whatever. The timer doesn't stop... So STRETCH IT OUT!!!
6.Play for a bit then quit.
I know this goes against all your regular game playing ideas, but once you get up there in the level 200+ territory it gets pretty time consuming to advance, SO QUIT!
The next time you die and are out of lives, just opt to start over at Level 1. But what about your score you ask???
THE LEADERBOARD SCORES RUN ALL WEEK!
Once the new week starts, every time you play your new FLR token won add to your standing total.
