Hello, and welcome to another post. In this article, I want to share with you why the cryptocurrencies I mentioned above are my "key" to alt season.
Yes, I have been trading other cryptocurrencies and amassing satoshis during this whole euphoric period. It has been an amazing time, and there's been lots of free money as well from some altcoins that ran way too far.
However, the REAL alt season isn't characterised by just unknown shitcoins moving. It's characterised by EVERYONE moving. And that is what makes my list very accurate.
My lost includes BTC, which is the big daddy of all of them, followed by BAT, a link between the big and small boys, BNB a medium sized guy and LRC, the "shitcoin" of some sorts due to its market cap.
BTC, as the obvious leader, is there to "time" the market. I watch BTC's moves closely, because one bad move on BTC's part and the whole party is over. I also trade BTC futures, and use tools like open interest and funding to understand what the market is telling me.
This is a very important part of my strategy of trading alts, and one I use all the time. Once you can get a gauge on BTC, you can properly trade during altseason.
Now, let's go on to BNB. BNB tells me when majors are ready to start moving. BNB represents the collective cap of majors to me, and when BNB starts moving, it seems like a wake up call for the rest of the market.
A few days ago, BNB moved 6% in one day, and that was the catalyst for TROY, CTSI, STRAT and a few others to also break out of their lethargic ranges and start moving as well.
I use this one to get a call on the big boys that aren't BTC. It works every time.
Now for BAT. BAT is my signal for the ending of alt season. I have done various experiments, and all of them have shown that when BAT starts moving, alt season is basically over.
This has been true in many scenarios for me, and I use BAT as a guage to know how long alt season will last. So once I start seeing BAT make the big boy moves, I begin closing most of my positions because it signals the end.
BAT is like a really hard coin to move, but when it does move, it moves quickly and in big sizes.
Lastly, there's LRC. I have LRC only because I'm aiming for a 10x on it. I have done the analysis, and documented it on my blog here.
LRC could potentially move 7x in the coming weeks, given BTC remains stable.
I am already up 3x from my LRC longs from March, so don't think this is a "go out right now and buy LRC" message. I have been shilling LRC since March, but no one listened.
These are my alt season major picks. Of course I'll be trading other cryptocurrencies within this time, but these are the ones that are front and center in my portfolio.
