This is a topic that no-one wants to address but it is becoming more apparent that this may be the most important question to ask ourselves.
We are watching the unraveling of our society on every front imaginable. The world is witnessing economic slowdown mixed with a currency crisis while we witness our world plunging into a possible World War.
This is just the tip of the iceberg and once we understand the current power struggle, and those who have been in power are losing their status, we can see that the battle has just begun.
The world is witnessing “peaceful” countries like Canada locking down individual’s bank and crypto accounts for disagreeing with the government stance toward recent demonstrations. We are also seeing massing refugee issues arising in Eastern Europe mixed with depleting global resources. As things progress, it is easy to imagine the extent governments will go to retain their power. If a country like Canada can rapidly change their interactions towards their citizens, what does this mean when more hostile countries start to lose control? What type of society will we be within once governments try to enforce new control measures on their people?
Seeing what is unfolding around the world, brings fear and anxiety to anyone who witnesses this new era. Those who already do not live in a “free” society will see increasingly tougher actions from their leaders to force compliance. For Americans, its a good thing we live in a democratic society, right???
With that said, let us all hope that the guiding light that the United States has been for so long continues to shine and be an example for the rest of the world. This may be our greatest challenge and hopefully America can live up to its promise of being the Hope the world drastically needs!
