What value has Bitcoin brought to your life?

I’m vacationing in Japan now, and if there’s one thing I’m acutely aware of, it’s the fact that I have stopped being so conscious of my spending. Of course, the depreciating Japanese yen plays a part in my relaxed attitude towards money, but the greater reason is that Japanese people seek to pack a lot of value into their products and services.

Retail therapy truly becomes a joy because you become humbled by their level of top-notch service and exemplary thoughtfulness. Just some examples from my trip so far:

1. This restaurant not only allows you to have second helpings of rice, but also lets you enjoy free flow of takana vegetables and metaiko (salted pollock roe).

2. This restaurant offers complimentary soup to whet your appetite.

3. This food court allows you to eat in peace because your children can play to their heart’s content at its enclosed playground.

This got me thinking about how Bitcoiners are indifferent to the price movements of Bitcoin because they understand very well its value. But I’m sure what this value constitutes will differ from person to person, so I would like to ask you to share how Bitcoin has brought value to your life.
