Tuesday Trues, 10-4-2022

First, it's still Tuesday where I am.  Second; this isn't my usual content.

If Bitcoin (BTC) cannot scale, which we know it cannot from the last bull run, the market cannot go parabolic without dethroning it with an endless altseason.

Ethereum (ETH) gas fees would solve overpopulation by killing us all if we held our breath 50 feet under water waiting for a solution.

BitcoinCash (BCH) is a better Bitcoin.  I could tell the truth about its faults, but if we are being honest, we all already know them and prefer to use it anyway.

Coinbase sucks.  It’s like the Amazon of crypto exchanges.  Most Americans hate it for a variety of reasons but use it anyway, but that won’t stop us from complaining about either of them.  I made an order for a birthday present, was charged, and then told they were out of stock this morning; but I'll take advantage of the gift card they gave me.  I hate Binance, too, they made a special stripped-down US version just to make us feel left out.  At least, I assume that is why.

I work internationally.  Let’s talk about some things that stand stood out to me so much that I had to research them.

Americans drive on the right side of the road instead of the left, but why?  In the late 1700s and beginning of the 1800’s horse and carriage riders were forced to stand on the left side of their carriages in order to use their right hand to whip their horses, so they wouldn’t go off track on the roads and force other carriages into ditches.  Seriously.

American “football” vs. Football virtually everywhere else in the world.  American football extends from Rugby, a sport almost no one in the world cares about, however, both Rugby and Football originated in Britain and used very similar rules, and were played simultaneously with looser rules.

Over time, these were formed into two different games, so this is technically the fault of the British, although I still blame my fellow Americans for thinking a cracked-out version of Rugby is not only logical to call football, but a better sport.  Fools.  Why can’t we all just play hockey; I love you Canada!

People call hamburger, which is composed entirely of ground beef, thus beefburger, due to a misunderstanding of the meal when it migrated to Germany and was explained to the Russians who had already been making a similar ground meat dish with pork, hence the moniker.  Almost no one questions it as illogical.  I blame the Russians; you know why.

People from other English-speaking countries are generally more intelligent than Americans.  This is my opinion, but it’s also a statistical fact in many areas of academia.

It still annoys me when people swap out s’s for z’s in words that are considered proper English in certain parts of the world.  I’ll apologize, but I’ll never apologise.  Yes, grammarly just tried to correct me.  And, again because I didn’t capitalize the name of their application.

Roughly ? of all Americans are intellectually impaired, if not more.  We know this because they voted for Trump, and most continue to believe in his insane agenda.

The bear market is going to get worse due to world leaders and a broken set of economic systems.  These are rigged, and if we applied the Federal Reserve rules to a DeFi project, it would no doubt stand out as a crazy scam.  Circulating supply control and manipulation, random adjustments in tax increases, and absolutely no backing while the US government owes more money than there is in existence.

The US government is currently drafting legislation that will perform this act on all USD stablecoins, which represent two of the top five cryptos, and four of the top 13 cryptocurrencies.  This is not good for DeFi, more on that later.

Elon Musk should be sanitized, if not euthanized.

Satoshi Nakamoto spoke to only twelve people, but only dissed one.  Sorry, Dan Larimer - you do have some issues understanding basic things despite your success with Delegated Proof of Stake.

Dan once told me in Voice v1 comments that he supported scalpers in markets, and his proposed solution to GPU scalping was to raise the prices so high the scalpers couldn’t afford them.  I told him in honesty I thought he should speak to an economist on the matter, having no idea he considers himself an economist.

Time to retire, Dan - you’ve made your billions and the only people who like your book want a cut of them. I just want a refund.

Crypto will be the future of finance.  We all want some gold anyway.

We all hate transaction fees and wait times, as well as exchange fees. We pay them and wait anyway.

Virtually no cryptocurrency has achieved true decentralization yet.  There is no spoon, though.

The fact there are two meme coins in the crypto top 14 cryptocurrencies is a definite sign that people will continually invest in things that make no sense at all in the hope of scalping the market big time.  This is both sad for people and bad for the market.

The number one killer of beavers is falling trees.  One could arguably say it is accidental suicide.

Einstein said, “Two things are infinite, the universe, and human stupidity.”
