The introduction of CBDC, which intends to provide a new type of national currency in the digital era and compete with Bitcoin and Altcoins, has created a new economic issue in many countries. This frequently contains novel concepts; the most recent of these is offline CBDC.
The Need of Offline CBDC
The Reserve Bank of India's "CBDC-R" digital Rupee version cannot survive blockchain technology's cryptography. On the one hand, advocates of cryptocurrency have not taken to CBD-R, and on the other, those who are not familiar with cryptocurrency cannot utilise CBDC. As a result, the concept of an offline Indian rupee has been retained as a solution.
The Reason of Offline CBDC
This offline version is not understood, because currently offline version is only cash. The idea of making digital version offline might have come to reduce people's fear of losing their privacy and currency control, otherwise, people go online in India, the world's cheapest internet-provider country.
