Musk gave us Tesla, PayPal and SpaceX, and he's now running X.
Zuckerberg gave us Facebook, as well as Instagram and Whatsapp as we know it.
All of us, no point denying it, use Zuckerberg's product(s) literally every day.
Whereas most people don't own a Tesla, some people don't use PayPal and not everyone's X.
While it is not difficult to understand why some people hate Musk - he's loud, opinionated and legacy media are against him - it is a bit less easy to discern why no one, and I do mean no one, like Zuckerberg.
If you listen to Zuck's interview, he's always balanced, and he talks like a geography professor. He's quiet, doesn't really express an opinion on anything and he seems to be conducting a relatively sober lifestyle.
And yet you'd be hard pressed to find somebody who 'likes' his public persona.
The embarrassing testimony before congress didn't help.
It was a total sh*tshow and it made everyone, both Zuck and the congressmen, look bad.
Some of the congressmen and congresswomen who questioned Zuckerberg sounded like idiots. They made it sound like they had no idea what a computer is, or does.
Some of them asked pertinent question and tried to put Zuck on the spot, but others were so out of touch it was cringey.
On the other hand, Zuck couldn't have sounded more disingenuous if he tried.
Everything he said sounded like a lie.
His botched attempt at rebranding Facebook to Meta also didn't help.
First, it made him look like he was trying so hard to jump on the Metaverse bandwagon.
Second, the timing was pretty bad, and Meta lost billions (and is still losing billions).
Third, Facebook is such a terrible social network these days.
But I think the reason why people either hate Musk or love him, and dislike Zuck, is that deep inside you sort of know who's gonna lie to you for certain, and who might not, if push comes to shove.
And people don't like being lied to.
