The Federal Agent and The 300,000 BTC Silk Road Pirates Treasure

Some revelations regarding the Silk Road investigation came out through a Dark Net Markets (DNM) Ganja forums. A user who’s been registered since 2009 had a lot to say regarding the U.S. Department Of Justice, FBI, and the DEA. Most notably the arresting officer of the Ross Ulbricht and Sabu (of Anonymous) was mentioned by a commenter as possibly being involved. The tale told by the man named “Plural of Mongoose” who has been on the run from the Feds, travels in and out of South East Asia on a whim in fear of incarceration and murder. “Plural of Mongoose” or otherwise known as “Variety Jones” is said to have been the lost mentor of the Silk Road.

“This is the story of what I’ve been doing the last two years. The story of $75,000,000 of pirates in bitcoins. The story of a rogue, highly placed member of the Federal Bureau of Investigation who has been making better than an average of $1,000,000 a month, committing felonies with wild abandon, just because he can.”

The tale started in a hotel room in China where Mongoose said he saw a television broadcast regarding the downfall of the Silk Road on the news. He was so shocked by this he said, “You could have knocked me down with a feather.” For some reason, Mongoose was stirred and decided to bounce around SE Asia for roughly six months until eventually ending up on a nice secluded beach area in Thailand. Staying there drinking heavily and living within the solitude of the beach and jungle Mongoose lived somewhat happily.

Then in April roughly around the Thai New Year with very little cellular service or Internet service Mongoose got a chat message. A person who later reveals himself as an FBI agent who knows an awful lot about his fleeing from authorities and Dark Net Market information. He liked to call himself ‘Chrysippus’ or ‘Diamond’ and excitedly told Mongoose lots of tidbits regarding the Silk Road rogue agents Carl Force and Shaun Bridges as well the fall of smaller DNMs. Diamond was always very flamboyant and intense in his conversations mostly because all of these events he foretold to Mongoose before they even happened. This made Mongooses assumption firmer that Diamond was indeed a real FBI agent.

Diamond Foreshadows Fall of Atlantis

It started with Diamond forecasting the fall of the DNM Atlantis and explaining how he toyed with them until the site shut itself down in fear. Diamond claimed that Ross Ulbricht still had a bitcoin wallet with 300,000 currently worth $75,000,000, and he wanted to get a hold of the funds. He had devised a plan to wait until Ross was convicted and given his estimated 40+ years or a life in prison sentence and eventually would infiltrate Ulbricht from the inside using other convicts. With doing this, he figured that Mongoose could somehow also get on the inside and contact Ulbricht getting him to reveal his private key.

Over time, the agent kept laying out more and more of his “bonafides” as events took place. He predicted everything well before the screw-ups of Agents Force and Bridges took place, until eventually telling when they were to be prosecuted. Diamond called the agents out for how “stupid they were to do anything but hold onto their ill-gotten gains”. By this time, Mongoose was quite impressed with Diamond’s knowledge of all of these happenings as they came true. However, Diamond became very erratic in his conversation whenever they discussed the infiltration of Ross in prison. He wanted to finalize the mission by the end of the year and as the conversations grew he became more excited to tell all about the downfall of the rogue agents’ Force and Bridges. During a chat in the heat of his excitement, Diamond left a different name at the end of one of his messages, CWT.

Mongoose previously told by Diamond that during the Silk Road investigation agent Carl Force accidentally left his name ‘Carl’ at the end of a preceding chat message with DPR during the investigation. Knowing how erratic in conversation Diamond was, Mongoose put two and two together and figured out what Diamond had done. He accidentally left his real name. During this time, he proudly informed Mongoose that he had been extorting DNMs for a while now and recently acquired 4 million dollars from his “extra-curricular activities”. The long-time plan for the federal officer was to retire in a “tax-friendly jurisdiction.” But as time pressed on Diamond got upset and really wanted to execute his plan to infiltrate Ross and get the 300,000 . He told Mongoose that it was his doing that kept him safe and free from authorities.

“If I wasn’t well in position exactly where he wanted me to be, I’d be responsible for the results.”

In March, of 2015 Mongoose had confirmed his immigration status and he was indeed ‘safe’. That month Diamond “stepped it up a notch” asking him to stay at a location of his choosing and live there till his plan commenced. He wanted to make the contact with Ulbricht around Christmas or New Year’s Eve, a time where Ross may feel especially vulnerable. A few days later Mongoose explains the federal agent was ecstatic claiming to have pillaged 6 million worth of from the DNMs. Ten days later from this announcement the DNM “Evolution was no more”. Going through these conversations Mongoose was constantly asked to commit to attacking Ross and when he denied helping Diamond, things began to get more serious.

At the end of March, Mongoose started hearing about four men looking for him on the island. In April, Diamond informed him that there was an “Interpol Red Notice” meant for him and that SE Asian authorities were to detain him. Mongoose who was then friendly with the local police approached them asking “Are you looking for me?” to which they replied “no but immigration was”. So he sat down with the officer and they called immigration to sit down for a meeting at the local bar. Over a bottle of Sangsom, Mongoose had found out he had a bounty on his head for 20,000 Thai bahts. After finding this information out, he left the men with 50,000 Thai bahts and informed Diamond that his trap had failed.

Diamond Threatens Lyn Ulbricht and Ross’s Sister With Torture

This information escalated the conversation. Mongoose explains that Diamond went “mental” and threatened to kidnap Ross’s mother, Lyn Ulbricht, and his sister. He said he was capable of getting a video phone into the jail and torturing them until he gave up the private key. He told Mongoose come Christmas if “I wasn’t well in position exactly where he wanted me to be, I’d be responsible for the results.”

With not much else to do Mongoose decided to turn himself in and report to the DOJ. He sent a PGP-signed email to the DOJ implicating a ‘Highly Placed Investigator’ from the FBI was responsible for a ton of things. The message was received but to his surprise, he never got an email back, so he sent another and got nothing. So Mongoose decided to try and catch Diamond in his own realm by scouring the DNMs for Diamond and evidence of his actions. Eventually, Mongoose even leads Diamond on by going along with his plan to infiltrate Ross.

By this time Diamond was honing in on his next DNM target Agora and Mongoose thought it was the perfect timing to set the agent up. However, Agora silently shuts down and ruins the plans to set up the officer. Over the next few weeks, Diamond keeps ranting about kidnapping and has nothing but 300,000 on his mind. With all of this talk of torture and kidnapping, Mongoose got sick of it and decided to tell the world. He says:

“Someone has to make sure he doesn’t succeed in kidnapping Ross’s sister and mother.”

At the end of this forum discussion, readers question if CWT stands for the arresting officer Christopher W. Tarbell. Mongoose replies back to the commenter “I don’t buy that. Tarbell was gone by the time the interesting stuff was going on.” With all this it is clear, if this story is true along with the supported evidence of agents Force and Bridges, the feds have an obvious immoral overreach within their powers. With the testimony from Lyn Ulbricht during our interview two weeks ago she revealed that they had the ability to change passwords and PIN numbers; create or edit chats; and commandeer accounts, including DPR’s. This post from ‘Variety Jones’ aka ‘Mongoose’ is startling. It shows the enormous powers these special agencies have and how they have tainted the entire case.

If the story Mongoose tells is true, it tells how scary the world we live in today is and how blurred truth, justice, and morality can be right now. We already know that agents Carl Force and Shaun Bridges corrupted the Silk Road case in the same fashion this story tells.
