The Circumventing Machine - Who Sent $3 Million-Worth of Bitcoin "In One Shot" To Ukraine?

Do repost and rate:

Just a couple of weeks ago all the Canadian Freedom Convoy saga was starting and the reaction of the governing powers towards that peaceful protest was a pure example of how centralized governance powers truly are, how dependent are we on banks and what money really is.

With just a click of a button $10 million worth of donations sent by supporters of the protesters were frozen by gofundme and soon after, the banks started freezing accounts to donors. Both donors and protesters turned to Bitcoin and the government tried to freeze that too, but it couldn't cuz Bitcoin was designed not to be frozen.

It's been over 24 hours since Putin has started his "special military operation of disarming Ukraine" and it's simply awful what happens over there. It is definitely not just about disarming Ukraine anymore, it is about conquering back Ukraine, decades after Boris Yeltsin had cut it out of Russia(USSR).

Dealing with banks in Ukraine right now is almost impossible and that would probably be the case in any part of the world where a war would start. To make things even worse, even Patreon is freezing donations towards an NGO funding the military in Ukraine.

Crowdfunding website Patreon yesterday banned Come Back Alive, a Ukrainian NGO that supports Ukrainian soldiers, from its platform because it had used funds raised for weapons and military activity. Come Back Alive has received most of the crypto donations, according to the research.

Once again, though, Bitcoin proves to be the Batman, Superman and Iron Man of the free and oppressed by helping these to circumvent traditional banking systems and centralized financial services in collecting funds.

Bitcoin donations are flooding in to support Ukraine's military: as of today, pro-Ukrainian groups have received over $4 million in cryptocurrency since Russia invaded Thursday, according to the latest data from blockchain analytics firm Elliptic.

Donations are being sent in cryptocurrency because it is quick and easy, Elliptic said, and can bypass regulations. But the sudden flow of cryptocurrency came from one single donor, who sent $3 million-worth of Bitcoin (80 BTC) in one day.

Who sent $3 million worth of BTC as a one shot donation to Ukraine?

I bet that it was some Russian oligarch pissed at the situation which got him into having his assets and accounts frozen by Europe lately, as a measure of sanctioning Russia. The year of 2022 is the year of freezing accounts and oppressions and at the same time the year of awakening and Bitcoin.

Aside from human casualties, the conflict ignited by Russian leader Vladimir Putin has had reverberations over the worlds economy and this event will definitely separate Russia from the rest of the world like never before. It's a no turning back situation and no matter if the war ends tomorrow or in three years, Putin will probably won't be welcomed anywhere in the world during his lifetime.

Maybe China, North Korea or Cuba would welcome him, although the Chinese aren't seeing this war with good eyes either. My bet is that they will probably invade Taiwan soon, in tryin to conquer it, and before you know it we might have a world war 3 going on. One to which I'm not participating...

But Bitcoin will, as it has just proved it's a circumventing machine. I bet Satoshi Nakamoto hasn't envisioned this technology's adoption to happen this way, but the unpredictable is an important life ingredient. My hopes are that the war shall be over soon and we will overcome these turmoiled times that are such a pressure for a few years now.
