Looking at the world there seems to be a degree of chaos and uncertainty that I’ve never experienced before in my life. I’ve said in previous articles that we are living in a transition period, the way things used to work, no longer do.
Our structures are failing, we’ve got record sovereign, corporate and personal debt across the globe. Inflation is hitting hard, while all the official channels try to sell us on the idea that it's transitory (it is not). Politics has grown to engulf all our culture, and as the powers at be feel their authority draining they turn ever more tyrannical and oppressive.
Why is this? For the first time in human history we have access to a worldwide economic structure that functions independent of any government. We do not understand the full ramifications of this. Holding your Bitcoin on a decentralized wallet, means the government cannot track your spending. More importantly, they cannot tax you. This means losing a great deal of their power, this is a good thing.
Our current political structures have grown excessively large through recent years, almost to the point of a cancer growing in our bodies about to kill the host. As taxing revenue drops, from more people switching to the Bitcoin Standard, they will be forced to shrink down. This is what we are watching right now in very slow motion, the state is dying.
To understand why we should be happy about this fact, and do our best to speed up the process. We must, firstly, come to realize how much of a parasite the state really is. I have read some authors doing simple math, say you pay 5 thousand dollars a year on taxes. Now, imagine instead of paying that amount you would get to invest it with a 10% annual return. Imagine that you did this for 40 years before you retire. By the time you are done it would have grown to over 20 million dollars.
Think of all the good that can be done with that money. Now realize that Bitcoin has averaged above 200% return per year. If saved without taxation the numbers would be almost unimaginable. The state is seriously miss-allocating our resources, only focused on growing bigger and bigger. Almost everything it does can be done by private enterprise in a cheaper and better way.
The mid and long term future will be a moment of deep significance for everyone in the world. We will see the rise and fall of living standards as people divide themselves into those who understand all of this, and those who don’t. Saving in a place far from government jurisdiction and taxation is going to be the fundamental factor that determines who will be wealthier, and everyday it will be more and more evident.
As the power of the individual grows, the power of the state fades. Most of what we see today is either the dying government structure trying to retain their ever fleeting influence, or those who depend on the state for survival trying to stop this from happening. Once you see this it is easier to perceive what is actually happening.
Unfortunately, the media and most people involved in debates about these topics fail to see the underlying movements. Most groups are fighting each other for political power, when all that power is going away. We don’t need to play that game, there is another way out.
We need to starve the beast, by putting our money away from its reach. Making it grow and emancipating ourselves. In the future countries and citizenships will be almost a forgotten illusion of a bygone era, like knighthood and kings.
We don’t need to go out and rebel, grab guns and prepare for a fight. Only by silently stepping away from their system can we beat them without struggle. The Nation-states have become so big, that even a small drop in their tax revenues will be fatal. This will happen, people will figure this out and when they do there is little the government can do to stop them. Those who see the trend and adapt quickly will benefit massively, those who don’t will have a much harder time. Like it or not this has already started, the pieces are in motion. The landscape is changing, the structures are falling. The new system is already up and running, Bitcoin is here, and is not going away.
The media will try to censor it, the politicians might try to ban it. In the end it is all the same, they are on the way out, the era of the Sovereign Individual has already come. Just look around.
