“Slava Ukraini!” Shouts Boris Johnson, Unveils Cutting Off Sanctions

The British Prime Minister has shouted in Parliament the cry of Ukrainians in their day of war as he unveiled a raft of new measures in a “remorseless mission to squeeze Russia from the global economy,” Mr Johnson said.

There will be a full asset freeze on VTB, as Britain will totally exclude Russian banks from UKs financial system.

UK is stopping access to sterling and British clearing payment, which account for much of commerce with Johnson pointing out UK and allies in combination amount to 50% of the global economy, while Russia is just 2%.

The United Kingdom will ban the Russian state and Russian companies from British financing, including loans and securities.

There will be limits on the amounts Russian citizens can deposit on British bank accounts.

There will be sanctions on Belarus too, to be specified later.

There will be an asset freeze on 100 entities and individuals, to be detailed.

All major Russian manufacturers will be barred.

There will be new trade restrictions with Russia and stringent access controls.

There will be a ban on exports of all dual use goods, all. That includes tech equipment and components, electronic, telecommunication, airspace.

There will be a new registry of overseas property ownership, and there will be a new kleptocracy cell in the crime agency to go after corrupt assets by oligarchs.

“Oligarchs in London will have no where to hide,” Johnson said. In regards to Swift he said there is nothing off the table, after pretty much kicking Russia off British payment systems.

And he said there will be “no creeping normalization, not now, not in months to come, not in years ahead,” of “Putin’s war of choice and war of aggression.”

“We live in a continent where an expansionist power is trying to redraw the map of Europe in blood,” Mr Johnson said. “We have the power and the will to defend the cause of justice and peace.”

To end his historic speech with that now famous rallying cry: “Slava Ukraini!!!!!”

The leader of the opposition Keir Starmer said we must make sure Russia’s “ability to function is crippled.”
