On January 20, the Arkhangelsk Regional Court overturned the decision to block the site of the cryptocurrency exchange BINANCE in Russia.
The court's decision means that the exchange site will be able to continue operating in Russia after it is removed from the registry of banned Internet resources.
According to the law firm Digital Rights Center, which represented the interests of Binance in court, the site has been under threat of blocking since September 2020. At that time, the company received a notice from Roskomnadzor about the need to remove information about bitcoin from the site, which was deemed illegal by the court.
Initially, the Mirny court of the Arkhangelsk region ruled that the site should be placed on the register. Binance was not notified of the start of court proceedings to block the site.
