Russian Aggression is Good for Bitcoin

First of all, let's not gaslight. I'm not taking sides  in this conflict. I am speaking  to what I believe the implications of Russian aggression will be for crypto and bitcoin specifically.

I think the 12% jump we just saw in BTC came from 2 things: 1. The world saw that the world wouldn't really be affected by Russian aggression in Ukraine; and 2. crypto enthusiasts saw just how easily those who sway from majority world opinion can be cut off from traditional finance. The SWIFT system is still the main form of sanctions the US levies on its enemies. In place of attacking Russia directly, the US-led western coalition decided to conduct a worldwide siege on Russian resources.

By the way, it won't work. Russia is one of the most sanctioned countries in the world in terms of the SWIFT system. Its people are used to austerity measures. You might get some war protests from the liberal enclaves in Moscow or St. Petersberg. But the majority of Russians, fuckin neo-Nazi nationalists out in the mountains somewhere ( exaggeration), won't give a fuck at best. Russia doesn't give a flyin fuck about SWIFT sanctions even without bitcoin.  bitcoin, Russia might actually push forward the digital financial age.

Depending on the advice Putin is receiving on bitcoin, he could create safehavens for BTC rails in Russia to bypass SWIFT. BTC rails would be impossible to stop, and bitcoin would actually work well in sparsely populated areas with environmental hurdles. Russia also has systems in place to quickly force its population to use bitcoin alongside its traditional rails. If Russia did this, its allies would follow (all 2 of them, lol). But the Russian coalition is self-sufficient. They don't need anything from the outside world. If they all agreed to use bitcoin as a medium of exchange, circumventing the dollar and bitcoin's "volatility" against the dollar (fake), they could create a viable alternative financial system to that of the "west."

Again, not saying I want people to die to make this happen. I don't. But pretty much all roads lead to bitcoin becoming a medium of exchange for the world at some point. This way sees Elizabeth Warren and her ilk now attacking bitcoin as an enemy of the state alongside their silly environment arguments. They'll lose. The veneer of masking bad stuff in a Russian bao is super thin, and the western population is too smart to accept it. We're not in McCarthy's time with no Internet and centralized news structures. People can tell the difference between Russian government aggression and Russian people.

Right now, Putin literally holds the palm of the world in his hands. Depending on the advice he's getting, he could solidify Russia at the center of the world's new dynasty and economic power. It remains to be seen what he'll do, but bitcoin is making this a very interesting time.
