Hi and welcome to my new blogging project. Weekly news. I will try to summarize the previous week's news into one article. Of course, I can't fit everything in here but I'll try to pick the most interesting from the whole week. Both from my home country and from around the world.

Coronavirus
Coronavirus is still a big topic. It looks like the next big wave is coming and with it new restrictions - some of our schools are already closing. I have a rather bizarre vaccination " advertisement" for you. The Miss Czech Republic candidates made a commercial in which they say that it is very remarkable that her hair grew longer after the vaccination. The second MISS has lengthened her legs and the third one even says that her breasts have grown bigger. Bizarre…
In other news on this topic... FDA advisors have recommended the Pfizer vaccine for children ages 5 to 11.

An environmental activist in London glued his face to the road. Nothing against these people... But this is just too much. Expressing your opinion is one thing, but annoying everyone around you, plus stopping traffic in the city center, is inappropriate.
Daira Antonia Usugu David known as Otoniel was arrested. You don't know who it is? I didn't know either before I read it. Apparently, he's the most wanted drug lord in Colombia. They say over 500 soldiers were involved in his arrest. That's some action!
You may know that North Korea is in quite an economic crisis. This is linked to the country's food shortage. But they've come up with a solution! I don't know if it's the best solution, but... People will consume, originally ornamental, black swans. Their meat was promoted by the North Korean media this week.

Squid coin was a scam. The Squid game cryptocurrency peaked at around $2.86 before dropping to zero. Basically, creators of this coin quickly cashed out all their coins for real money. At that time all their social media accounts, as well as the websites, disappeared, leaving their investors with nothing. While they made about $2.1 million.
What's new in entertainment
The world's largest Ferris wheel opened in Dubai. Its diameter is 250 meters (820 ft)!
Primax revealed their new next-generation virtual reality headset! 12K headset! What's also very interesting is that this headset is completely standalone. This means that no tracking stations are needed. And it doesn't have any cables either.
Tokyo-based A.L.I. Technologies have introduced a flying motorcycle! We don't know much yet, except that the machine can fly up to 100km/h (62 mp/h) and has enough fuel for 40 minutes of flight.
