Latvian police has prevented the plot to kidnap and then murder two people for 500,000 euros worth of cryptocurrency.
Police prepared for the kidnapping and murder of a person in the capital, Riga, in September, and obtained intelligence that they were looking for accomplices. It was learned that the planner intended to force the victim to send the cryptocurrencies to the desired address and then kill them.

Police teams realized that the person who was preparing for the murder was following the cryptocurrency owner and learned his daily routine. The attacker also prepared some torture devices to be used in case the victim refused to provide their passwords.
As the teams deepened their research, they realized that the criminal was planning to kill another person in the same way in the short term. It was understood that 2 people were killed and there was a crypto currency plan of 500 thousand dollars to be obtained.
Caught, admitted his guilt
The person who was preparing for the attack was caught by police teams on October 7, as he followed the victim. The attacker in question confessed to his guilt. It was stated that this person was convicted of fraud in the past.
