M[rs]? Nakamoto

Who is Mr. Putin?

Mrs. Trudy Rubin of "Philadelphia Inquirer"

There's a topic in crypto-blogging, which I call Who's Mr. Nakamoto. I mean there are quite a few people still trying to guess who Mr. Nakamoto actually is. And while I understand the reasons behind Mrs. Rubin's inquiry, I can't understand why those people would know so desperately who Mr. Nakamoto really is. To ask him a shitload of stupid questions? To beg for crypto prophesies? To elect him a Leader of Crypto Galaxy? Well, probably that's why Mr. Nakamoto prefers to hide...

Anyway, Wikipedia has already got a list of possible Nakamoto candidates. It mentions several math professors, PhD cryptographers, early bitcoiners, real Mr. Nakamoto, and even one Zimbabwian drug-dealer. Indeed, I totally agree that any one of those distinguished persons deserves being Mr. Nakamoto!

But! Something still disturbs me.

If we rule out a possible tragic fact of Mr. Nakamoto being dead since, say, 2010/2011 -- isn't it relevant to assume, that Mr. Nakamoto can well be like some Sheldon Cooper nerd guy?

And "something" still disturbs me, though.

In the internets you can position yourself any way you like. I mean, you can create for yourself any "identity" you want and the only problem is how successfully you can handle your "identity" of a hot Japanese chick authentic, while being in fact, e.g., a retired Italian male.

In other words, I mean that Mr. Satoshi Nakamoto might well be a non-Nakamoto, non-Japanese, non-47-years-old -- and non-male at all, after all! The conclusion of his being male comes only out of his name (which is male in Japanese, afaik).

Disregarding female candidates from being Mr. (or rather, Mrs. or Ms.) Nakamoto probably comes out of a false assumption of "Math and coding is not for girls, a girl can hardly do such a thing".

Well, even if we forget about my wife who's a higher math lecturer at a uni -- remember Ada Lovelace, to begin with!

Therefore, I would insist and simply demand to maintain gender equality in Nakamoto studies and to nominate some female (and preferably, Afro-African) candidates for Mr. Nakamoto's position!
