Today let us have a look at Initiative Q and try to simplify it.
Initiative Q is trying to become the next global payment system.
In simple terms they want to be the new PayPal.
Behind it they are actually ex PayPal guys!
They are trying to do so by using crypto technology and cryptocurrencies to make transactions faster, safer and most importantly cheaper.
Especially for cross-border transactions that involve exchange currencies you will see significant cost savings.
The first issue of such a new system is creating demand for both sides of a payment transaction.
That is especially hard to do, as if not many shops accept it ,not many people will get on board and vice versa.
So to solve this issue they are trying to build a substantial user base at the moment, in order to later go to the market and say: “ Hey look we already have the people that will use the system, now shop X,Y,Z time to get onboard and offer the service to your clients” .
In my opinion that is the way to do it.
Now of course you are wondering why should you have an account with Initiative Q.
Well, before answering this question, let us first take a step back and see how they propose the new payment system will work.
It is very simple actually; all transactions will be done using their native cryptocurrency “Q”.
Be using Q they eliminate a big portion of costs involved in transactions making a transaction cheaper and more efficient.
Their target for Q is to be in par with the USD.
According to their roadmap, they want to start engaging the market from now on and by the end of 2021 have the network in full operation.
Now, how they are doing regarding their time schedule.... I honestly don’t know!
Especially with the pandemic going on, I wouldn’t be surprised if it went either way ( accelerated or slowed down ).
I have seen technology projects both being delayed or moved ahead much faster during this period!
So why should you have an account?
Simple because being one of the first to get on board, you get it for free and most importantly you can get free “Q”.
Most probably it will be free later as well, like PayPal is, but you never know.
You don’t need to spend a penny, so even if it doesn’t work out you haven’t really lost anything, but if it does you get a lot!
Getting on board though at the moment requires someone to invite you and then verify you.
They do so as they want to try and have a genuine client base, as possible as that can be.
