If you died tomorrow what would happen to your crypto?

I ask this question because I read a post on reddit, where a man admitted he has never told his wife or kids about his crypto. He claimed to have been buying bitcoin since 2017, so he must be well established. Hundreds of other's comment simalar things, none of them have told their families about their crypto. Well that leaves the question, what happens to your crypto when you die?

I personally found it astonishing how many people keep their wealth hidden from their significant others. When those people die, if they haven't taught their wife how to access their crypto, I imagine financial hardship follows the unexpected death. I honestly don't know how I would sleep at night knowing if I died, that my family would suffer as a result. I'm trying to understand a scenario where I would have to hide my wealth from my wife, and I can't find literally one. We wouldn't have started a family if we didn't trust one another. I mean how stupid is it to marry someone you don't even trust with money? Let's think about the day they finally find out you've been hoarding wealth in secret? Talk about disappointment ?? You have to be ready for the worst, and my family's lifestyle and wellbeing is the reason I invest.

I think it is best to be transparent about things like investments and future plans with your significant other. Besides the benefit of your family gaining financial literacy, you never know how much of a positive impact you can make in theirs. Since I've taught my wife how to create a wallet and use crypto.com, she has taken a personal interest in investing as well. She has taught herself a lot and has started creating NFTs for fun. We both share a dream of becoming financially free now. More of an opinion relating to a controversial topic but I felt like posting nonetheless. Hope you enjoyed the read & have a good night ??
