G20 endorsed global crypto regulations.

I wrote about this idea last week. At that point the reporting was the G20 was discussing global crypto regulation.

Since then, there has been an agreement at the G20 regarding cryptocurrency. Supposedly they are endorsing Financial Stability Board (FSB) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF recommendations regarding cryptocurrency. Here is an article that talks about it here:  https://blockworks.co/news/g20-imf-fsb-guidelines-crypto

Also, this article here https://www.coindesk.com/consensus-magazine/2023/09/11/the-g20s-crypto-hand-wringing-is-not-significant/ suggest the G20 agreement is not significant.

I am not an expert on the G20 or the IMF or FSB. I think the agreement is significant in terms of the G20talking about cryptocurrency, it provides legitimacy to cryptocurrency. I am a bit skeptical about the Biden administration and China regarding cryptocurrency and think they are trying to limit cryptocurrency. I think that in the end, it is just delaying the inevitable.   Cryptocurrency is here to stay and is and will be a big part of the future.

I have been writing about rules and guidelines, i.e. regulations on cryptocurrency as a good thing. I still think that. I am looking forward to real and hopefully fair legal descriptions of cryptocurrency in the United States. I believe that prices are currently artificially suppressed due to all of the uncertainty by the SEC and their overreach.
