Estonia publishes the Bitcoin WP on its government website

Estonia is one of the most virtuous European nations in the blockchain sector, adopting the new technology for the custody and security of government data and encouraging companies and citizens to adopt it. In the past, he tried to create his own digital currency, Estcoin, but the idea was abandoned by the government as it is part of the European community and would have lost all economic advantages.

But in 2014 Estonia *e-residency*, a digital identity issued by the Estonian state, similar to that provided to citizens physically resident in the country. The advantages of obtaining an e-residency are very interesting especially at a company level: the possibility of being able to take advantage of the technological network to start the work activity and manage it completely online, without the need to physically move, a quick and fast management of payments by reducing the bureaucratic system to a minimum.

The idea of ??e-residency is to create a new way of working, minimizing unproductive times such as travel or long waits for paperwork, the latter representing a major obstacle to development in many industrialized nations. Estonia wants to be an example of how blockchain can bring substantial improvements in the productive life of companies, people and not least the government itself. Offering companies the opportunity to invest in a simpler, faster and more effective way will lead to an increase in productivity that will benefit the government itself.

To emphasize the importance of blockchain, the Estonian government has decided to publish the Bitcoin White Paper on its official website, offering a strong and welcoming message to all those who want to use the blockchain and want to work with this technology. Some argue that this publication was announced in a direct response to Craig Wright's clumsy attempt to seek copyright on this document, of which he has never shown himself to be the author. In fact, Wright has accused five websites that currently publish it of copyright infringement, including the same bitcoin.org site originally created by Satoshi Nakamoto in late 2008.

While governments around the world move to hinder the advance of Bitcoin, calling it a scam or a tool that favors illicit payments in the black market of the web, Estonia moves against the trend, declaring itself in favor of the blockchain and is the first government in the world to publish the Bitcoin WP on its institutional page. It is a very strong symbolic gesture on the part of the institutions but it does not want to be a gauntlet towards the European community, but it is an opportunity not to close the doors to a technology that could potentially improve the world economy and be a tool ally to the institutions and not an enemy as they want to demonstrate.

How will the European community and the ECB led by Christine Lagarde, which has proved not in favor of cryptocurrencies, react? How will Craig Wright react after the publication of the Bitcoin White Paper on the Estonian institutional website?
