Our senses are complex tools that make illusions possible. Cryptocurrency and colors are imaginary, but both can appear to be quite real. Cryptocurrency has monetary value as long as we arbitrarily decide it does. I bought a physical object with my BINANCE Visa card even though the BNB crypto balance in my account was not something tangible.
My Binance Visa card was successfully used to purchase a new iPhone a few days ago. The BNB I had allocated to 'Card' was automatically converted to fiat when I clicked to confirm the transaction. A representation of value using binary ones and zeros contained on a blockchain were ultimately converted to something real and physically tangible. Binance was able to satisfy the NetOnNet store I was shopping at online with enough information necessary to make a transaction possible.
The immutable record of the BNB balance was all that was required to prove I owned some illusory BNB. Value can be attributed even to imaginary things and generally works well if the idea is accepted by the majority.
A red apple is all the colors in the electromagnetic spectrum except for red. The red apple reflects back only the wavelength perceived as red which is why it appears to be that color. That particular apple absorbs all wavelengths except for the one our senses call red. A black object absorbs all colors while a white one reflects all of them.
Going deeper into the rabbit hole matrix demonstrates an illusion within another illusion. Ignoring the fact that colors are not real, the color perceived as magenta should be a shade of green since green is the area that falls between the two colors in the electromagnetic spectrum that produce it. Green already exists to the senses, so magenta is imagined instead.
The true color of an apple or the fact that magenta is not real matters little because colors are imaginary and only exist in imagination land anyway.
Colors are much like crypto and are a product of the mind. Fortunately, the cryptocurrency world can convince most of us that something imaginary can represent value. Mass adoption of the idea will never be total, but most will accept it to some degree.
What we perceive as real is dictated by our senses and determined by our brain.
Although electromagnetic waves are real, the waves that they produce are perceived as imagined images of shape and color.
The only way our brain can perceive the electromagnetic spectrum through the senses we have is by translating them to images and colors.
Likewise, audible sound is only the perception of the vibrations affecting our auditory senses.
Chemical compounds are experienced as odors and tastes by our olfactory system and taste buds. The experience we have perceiving the chemicals exists only in our imagination. There are no odors, sounds or colors in the universe outside of our mind.
Conclusions
Colors would not even be discussed if there were no senses to see them that way. More importantly, a fart has no odor regardless of who dealt it. The sound imagined when a tree falls in the forest is a construct of the mind.
The things that exist outside our senses are often considered to be imaginary. The reality is that everything we perceive with our senses is just an illusion. The universe is devoid of color and sound. All that we smell, hear and see if imaginary.
