The fight between governance powers and people has probably never been more ardent than it is lately. Nowadays humans literally have the weapons to fight the establishment in their own pockets... and I'm not referring to credit cards. No, I'm pointing at 24/7 internet connected devices.
These are the weapons that can either lead to our total enslavement or to ultimate freedom, both end cases being entirely dependent on us, but are "the freedom fighters" that strong, transparent and so wide spread as we imagine them to be? If the answer to this question is yes, then why haven't we achieved that by now?
@diggndeeper.coman interesting post lately entitled Open Communications, to which I have shared my own thoughts and through the set of comments that we shared back and forth he at one point asked me: "it seems hard to get even crypto folks on board, though. In your opinion, what is keeping people, even crypto folks, from embracing the tools right in front of them?"
Short answer: convenience
Most of the crypto heads out there are not actively using blockchain technology as it was intended, aside for occasional crypto transactions from an exchange to another, all of that due to their convenient behavior. Why would A. Pompliano dedicate time to a community like Hive and Leofinance which are blockchain based communities when he can keep on using youtube and twitter where all of his audience is?
He would kind of need to start it from scratch in here, but that doesn't mean the effort is not worth it. We've all gone through the process and it's not an easy one, that's for sure, but blockchian technology hasn't been designed as "a speculative asset", it's meant to be liberating for its users, giving them the freedom to transact, express themselves, share disturbing information and interact, with no third party able to block any of such actions.
If Pompliano is not doing it, then I'm gonna do that... Flawed journalism is one of the "societal diseases" that we currently have to deal with, brought into discussion by @diggndeeper.com(I don't know his name that's why I keep on tagging his account). Flawed journalism is why I haven't journalism as a profession from the first place. I have a degree in this regard.
But blockchain technology has somehow helped me become a pawn in this world wide movement trying to fix journalism. Although my account wasn't created as a media outlet, I have often times found myself doing the job of such outlets... It's how I do my part in using blockchain technology(Hive) in fixing this flawed power in state.
2022 will be the year of Bitcoin and societal awakening, I've been saying that already on my blog for a couple of times and these two matters are more important imo than any war in Ukraine or the gas price. When the masses will realize they've been lied to for so many decades, if not centuries, and when they'll find out that there's alternatives to the crooked current governance and financial system, the shift in consciousness and behavior of the masses will be huge.
Many of us don't realize yet our true potential, but situations like the one in Canada and El Salvador are true teachers for the sleeping sheep. After all, both the wolves and the sheep have teeth so it doesn't have that the wolves need to always win the fight. Klaus Schwab might not realize that his great reset might turn into a great awakening. We've kind of gotten to a "boiling point" and something's got to pop...
Meanwhile, convenience is in our way to ultimate freedom.
