New York-based crypto brokerage firm Voyager (CSE:VYGR) announced on Monday that it has raised an additional $2.1 million via private placement to further accelerate its growth.
According to the announcement, Susquehanna Government Products, Streamlined Ventures and Market Rebellion, as well as Market Rebellion’s co-founders, Jon and Pete Najarian, Dirk Mueller-Ingrand and other insiders invested in the private placement.
The Najarian brothers are well-known options traders and television personalities, appearing on CNBC’s Fast Money. The pair have been active in the crypto community for some time and plan to launch a community-based trading app in the near future through Market Rebellion.
The additional capital will reportedly go towards paying off outstanding debt while fueling additional growth of the company’s commission-free crypto brokerage app.
“We are very excited to have such a group of highly respected industry investors to support our aggressive growth plan,” said Voyager CEO Stephen Ehrlich. “With this funding now completed, we will now accelerate the execution of our product roadmap to support our rapid account growth, asset growth and increased trading activity of our customer base.”
This news comes a week after Voyager published the June interest rates for Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), XRP (XRP) and 11 other coins available on its mobile app.
