Can we live in this world without the mention of religion? No, religion plays a big role on our life today. It is our lifestyle. God plays a big role in how we manage our affairs.
The Bible unlike other books of religion like the Quran and others is at the centre stage of measuring our activities on earth. As people marvel and negate that the Bible was written by people, most of them unlearned, it has some wisdom which sheds on our life today.
The Prophesy
And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads
Revelation 13:12-16
Now this prophesy talks of a being or human with great powers. This is the Antichrist. He has powers that can make a great change and revolution in the world. Many people have been speculated to be the Antichrist but none so far has lived to this prophesy. The Bible in itself is a riddle that needs to be translated only by the Holy Spirit.
Supposing, just supposing, that this Antichrist is not a person but a certain force. Supposing this force is cryptocurrency as an example. It will have these qualities as described in the prophesy.
- It will exercise the power of the first beast (the first beast may be fiat or the devil)
- It causes the earth and those therein to worship the first beast( still the first beast may be money or the devil)
- deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast;(cryotocurrency has this power)
- had power to give life unto the image of the beast. (true that)
- cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. (an idea for speculation)
- causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads (web3.0 heading there)
People may be fitted with a chip on the hand or forehead in order to do buying and selling. If not, then the mind (forehead) and hand may be corrupted to bid the dictates of the beast. With the metaverse are we not headed there.
However, there is hope in the world. We believe in Jesus Christ who is able to save. Romans 8:18, ESV: For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.
John 14:15, ESV: “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.
