British finance minister Rishi Sunsk told the Bank of England to aim to tackle the cryptos challenge by launching Britcoin (BoE) or Central bank-backed digital currency.
A BoE-backed digital version of sterling would potentially allow businesses and consumers to hold accounts directly with the bank and to sidestep others when making payments, upending the lenders' role in the financial system.
He said we launching a new task force between the Treasury and the Bank of England to coordinate exploratory work on a potential central bank digital currency he also states that if new currency pass could be used by households and businesses.
Remind, only the Bahamas has launched its own crypto and China testing in several cities while India, Sweden considering launching cryptocurrencies.
I mean why whole countries launching their own crypto. Look, we love crypto because of price is volatile in a minute you can gain or lose money. But regulated crypto will not be much volatile. No volatility means no profit so why people will invest in regulated crypto.????
