The US anti encryption bill is out for blood, and cryptocurrency sphere is hopeful that the blockchain technology can provide a solution to this bill.

Per the latest developments, Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) is trying to alert the general public about a bill that is to end the encryption of online text messages and preventing it from being enacted by the U.S. Congress.

As per the reports, the EARN IT bill proposed that the digital messages should pass via government-approved scanning software first so that malicious criminal activities could be monitored. This bill has been sponsored by Senator Lindsey Graham and Richard Blumenthal.

For instance, the recent case of Sarah Zheng, a journalist for the South China Morning Post, used Ethereum blockchain for publishing a censored interview with a doctor who dealt with the first-ever case of coronavirus. The doctor then tried to alert the doctors’ community and the public about the outbreak of this on-going pandemic.

Sarah Zheng explains that the blockchain technology enabled her to encrypt the information by using QR codes, Morse code, and intentional typing mistakes so that the interview could be shared on social networks.
