Binance, one of the biggest crypto exchange platform, was blocked in Russia since June, due to "spreading information about irregulated currency". Despite decentralization and inability to regulate Bitcoins being its primary feature for privacy concerns, Russia doesn't buy it. BINANCE was blacklisted in Russia, and many users had to use VPN to access the Binance platform and their finances, which is not allowed by Binance.

Cryptocurrencies like bitcoin are not considered illegal in Russia. There is a law, which recognizes cryptocurrencies as taxable property. President Vladimir Putin has signed an order that citizens using cryptocurrency must report their crypto holdings.

Binance challenged the decision, and the decision was finally withdrawn, allowing users to access the platform and allowing Binance to operate in Russia. This may be a good sign for the cryptocurrency market in general, as winning courts in such countries as Russia, which has a government regulating every financial operation in the country, and not favoring anonimity. It is one more major step to worldwide adoption of cryptocurrencies even in the most old fashioned countries.
