As always, things aren’t going well with Russia and cryptocurrency.
Russian censorship agency Roskomnadzor, added Binance, world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange into the blacklist. It was revealed by BINANCE on its official Russian telegram channel.
According to the statement, Binance has been placed in the list due distribution of data related to the acquisition of digital currencies.
But according to the list, Binance was placed in the list on June 2,2020. And company says they haven’t received any notification from law enforcement agencies.
Binance said "We were not previously notified of any claims by law enforcement agencies, civil government services or courts prior to receiving the above notification. We have now engaged our legal counsels for further advice and would like to assure all of our Russian users that there will be no disruption to their services in the interim and that their funds are safe” on a public announcement.
However, the website is still available for users without any additional tools.
Russia has already banned using cryptocurrencies to exchange goods.
